Thanks for visiting my site..  Tony Adamson tattoo.com

Whether you are new to getting a tattoo or are immersing yourself in the tattoo culture,  Be aware..

I wanted to say, BEWARE, but that would be misleading.  The subculture of tattooing is as amazing as it is diverse.  Black and white.  Like night and day.  Thick or thin, it is what you make it.. Skin art, created by an Artist.  A tattoo artist has as much potential to do a great tattoo on you as all the obvious factors allow.  Factors like talent, experience, drive from within to be a better artist, continued education, ability, and that's just from my side, the artist side.  Then the tattoo side; size, subject matter, placement,  and most of all the willingness for the client to trust.  The tattoo artist has as much obligation to a Tattoo as the Tattoo does to the artist. It's a recipricating relationship of love.. Between the artist and the tattoo.. You are just a canvas.

Throwing the word "just" into that last sentence may have been slightly abrasive but necessary. "You are a canvas" doesn't get the point across.   Skin remains the most challenging canvas  I face as an artist. Every tattoo is a new challenge and I say bring it on.   As long as my health and passion permit I will uphold an oath to the tattoo Gods to do my best..

Enough about me, let's talk about you..

This is where a thought becomes a tattoo.

So you've planted a seed in your mind that you want to get a tattoo.  The more you think about your tattoo, your seed grows roots and you take altering your body permanently seriously.  We should all take this seriously.  As you imagine your tattoo being reality you ask yourself many questions. Why do I want to get a tattoo?  What will it be?  How big should I make it?  Will it be color or black and grey?  How much will it cost?  Who will do the tattoo?  This is where I am going to offer some advice.

Your tattoo experience must be positive.  If you find yourself in a scenario where it feels wrong, don't do it.  If the process frustrates you, walk away.  Find an artist that will create the piece of art you are after.  Simple tattoo or Not so simple tattoo,  you will find an artist that fits.  There is no room for unwanted energy in the tattoo environment.   Simply, if it's meant to happen, it will happen.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORCE IT.

Let the lashing I have given you be good advice  and not a detourant.  It must be understood up front that this process WILL depict the quality of the tattoo.  Tattooing is a powerful explosion of artistry captured in your flesh.  Make it great... Thanks.
